THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 2D~3D~4D and 5D-HD

PICTURES SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!

ELECTIVE ULTRASOUNDS

Elective ultrasounds (sonograms) are not medical or diagnostic ultrasounds. These sonograms are not ordered by a physician or any medical professional. These are "keepsake photo sessions" for your enjoyment. They are intended for entertainment and viewing purposes ONLY. Discuss with your physician or other health care provider about participating in an elective ultrasound.

  • 2D Images (a picture)

~known as the traditional black & white sonogram images, a two-dimensional picture, flat-no depth

3D ultrasound image of a developing fetus.
  • 3D Images (a picture)

~an advancement in ultrasound imaging. Multiple 2D cuts/slices are acquired from different angles, using a special probe. Computer software configures the three-dimensional (volumetric) image. Note: the quality of 3D is dependent on the 2D image, which can be affected by different factors.

4D ultrasound image of a baby.
  • 4D (a video)

~essentially 3D imaging, adding the element of time, which produces "real-time" live images. This technology allows the family to enjoy a "movie-like" session! Moms can see little actions that they would otherwise, only feel! With these captured "video clips" and the ability to REPLAY-PAUSE-SAVE, still images can be printed.

  • 5D (HD-High Definition)

~most recent advancement in ultrasound technology, HD/iLive also called 5D. These "realistic" pictures give more of a flesh-tone versus the sepia color seen by 3D imaging. HD technology adds a movable light source (virtual flashlight) which can be adjusted and angled. This light reflects shadowing and increases visual depth perception. Incredible detail resolution can be seen if the baby is in a "photogenic" position!
